Lucas is quick to backpedal away from that barrage of fists, blocking what he can and rolling with the ones he can't. He can feel the anger radiating off of Edward, and part of him can't help but feel almost victorious at being the reason for it.
Everything that Edward was right now? The anger. The rage. It was all because of him. He created this. He was the reason Edward was the way he is now. And Lucas? He's proud of that. It takes a special person to be able to destroy a man like he has.
But those words make him want to laugh despite the rage hanging in the air, and Lucas continues to block and parry before he ducks and goes in with a strong punch of his own towards Edward's midsection. "That. That is where you're wrong, Edward. I destroyed you once. It won't be hard to do so again."
