(OOC: Argh I'm sorry, man. I did that "I replied in my head therefore I replied in reality" thing I do sometimes. *headdesk*)
Though Archer failed to see the realistic comparison between the tribunal and this - Archer had been undertaking no personal risk in his offer, while Cole stood to lose a great deal if he were implicated in the burial of Trenton's body - he didn't belabor the point. If equating the two situations made Cole feel better about both of them, then it wasn't Archer's place to take that from him. In a place like Bellum, even the unfeeling geneticist could understand that clinging to some form of comfort was necessary.
"It's very easy to do," he mused with a nod. "I suppose that's both a risk and benefit of friendship. You risk being involved in these situations, but benefit in knowing that you have someone who would do the same on your behalf." Though he wasn't entirely sure if Isobel would bury a body for him. Actually, that was a lie - he knew she wouldn't. But for some reason, he didn't care. He did this anyway for some irrational reason that he didn't quite understand. Perhaps it was his inability to understand that irritated him most, but he had eventually learned to simply accept it.
