The fact that Archer didn't outright disagree with his lack of innocence only cemented his belief that he'd had a part to play in this. But then again, Trenton was far from innocent too. He didn't like thinking ill of the dead, but no one could pretend he was a saint. The fact still stood that he'd been responsible for Aaron's death, not to mention raping Boyd. From what Cole had seen, he didn't seem particularly remorseful about either.
He stared at Archer, wondering how he could speak so rationally while he was burying a dead man. The fact that what he said actually kind of made sense was even worse - but the truth was usually pretty depressing. Rubbing his forehead, he found he couldn't even come up with anything to counter what he said. "I've... never looked at it that way. But I guess that kind of makes sense."
