Sam...stared. Between the abrupt change in appearances, and then the other man proclaiming that the woman who just lost her face was evil, he really was at a loss for words. The quiet, skittish young man seemed familiar - another that Shere Khan had gotten a glimpse of in between all of the death and destruction. Well, good thing he made it out alright!
Maybe evil wasn't the word - he wouldn't choose to use that adjective unless given a reason - but at the very least, the woman had an agenda. Why else would someone go to such lengths to hide their true appearance? Sure, it could have been 'self-esteem' issues, like she truly 'felt more comfortable' not in her own skin but he doubted that was the case.
"Unexpected surprise?" he repeated Vlad's words. "Mind elaborating on that a little?" Some detail would be welcome.
