Vlad Drăgoi {Dracula} ([info]nobleblood) wrote in [info]bellumlogs,
The fact that Jane seemed to be one of the few who managed to avoid becoming involved in the carnage was interesting at best - then again, she could have been there without Dracula ever noticing. He had been rather busy with tearing apart anyone within a five-foot radius, which meant he hadn't been overly occupied with looking for people his counterpart may have recognized. If she got out unscathed, well, she was simply lucky. "Luckier than most, I believe. Then again, everyone was lucky in the sense that they survived." It was said without the slightest hint of resentment, just a vague tone of observation.

Vlad had just begun to unlock his mailbox when she mentioned Helena, and the question made him freeze for the briefest of moments, smile faltering before managing to recover - like a slight blip on a television screen. He supposed it was no secret that he and Helena were involved, and even someone who had just moved in a couple of months ago would have been able to find that information out. Still, he couldn't recall her ever mentioning Jane, and if they didn't know one another then why would she ask about her? She didn't even know him very well, save for that one time in Russia. Maybe he was just reading into things too much.

"She's fine." He tilted his head to the side, his smile turning quizzical. "Have you two met before?"
