Who: Sherri, Joss, and Brian What: Dinner and fail!moon antics. Where: 205 When: June 26th, 6 pm Warnings: There was mention of Joss maybe bringing alcohol?
Sherri hadn't done anything too fancy for supper, just spaghetti with a meat sauce and makeshift garlic bread that was really more like garlic toast. It seemed like a safe enough option, though, since she didn't think she knew anyone who didn't like spaghetti at least a little bit. Of course, she knew Brian would be polite and not say anything even if he didn't like it, but she really hoped to avoid him having to display how polite he was, even if she did really appreciate that quality. Joss could just eat what Sherri put in front of her and be happy with it.
By five 'til six, she had three plates dished out to cool sitting on the kitchen table, and she'd set out the books she'd gotten for Brian to look at. She hadn't been able to pick up all the ones she was looking for, but she'd grabbed everything The Dog Eared Page had that included an English character named Harry or Henry. Well, everything that fit the parameters she'd noticed for the literary fables that she'd heard of so far, at least. They were sitting on her desk, and a clock she'd found online that was supposed to be accurate to the hundredth of a second was open on her computer. She'd stuck a post-it with the exact time the sun was supposed to set on the desk beside the computer and figured she was as ready for the full moon as possible.
When she realized she'd actually managed to get everything done before six o'clock with a few minutes to spare, she almost did a victory dance. She was getting good at this hostess thing. All that was left to do was wait for one of her guests (though she wasn't sure if Joss actually counted as a guest) to arrive.
