"Course I do," Sam said, gently ruffling Joanie's hair. "It's difficult though, isn't it?" he asked rhetorically. "To date someone and essentially put yourself out there. But I'll always be honest with you, just so you know." He smoothed the hair he had mussed, leaning in to bump his nose against her cheek. She couldn't go through life hiding from everyone and everything. That wasn't really living. And when you take a chance sometimes good things happen, sometimes bad things happen, but if you don't take a chance, nothing happens. But he thought this would be a good thing. He really liked Joanie.
