The knock came as a surprise to Brian, too. Eyes wide, he paused, looking over at the door with a puzzled expression. "No," he said slowly, brow furrowing. "No I'm not." He hesitated, considering just ignoring it and hoping that the person went away. But it could have been Sherri, and he'd hate to be rude to the girl. So he slowly stood, glancing over at Xavier. "I'll go see who it is. I'm really sorry about this."
He went to the door and opened it slowly, peering at the blonde girl standing outside the door. Though he tried to put on a smile, it was clear that he was cautious, only opening the door as much as necessary for them to see one another. "Hello?" he asked, putting on a very faint smile.
