Gina allowed Rosalie to pull one hand away to rub at her eyes. Nodding, she shifted so that she could rest on her knees, sitting up with both hands clasped around one of Rosalie's. As she declared that she didn't want an IV, she nodded. With difficult patients, it was best to start reasoning with them. After all, they were in a difficult situation - for all intents and purposes, Rosalie had a fever that could have turned deadly. "Okay," she said, keeping both her hands still and visible. "Why don't you want an IV?" Her voice was sweet and sincere, with no hidden edges. Honestly, she wanted to know what Rosalie's problem was. If you figured out why a patient was upset, you could find a solution.
