It didn't take long for Vlad to decide that he simply couldn't think of Max as a delusion or anything other than a human being, just as real as anyone else who lived in the building. It was still strange to think that there was someone else inside that body, a consciousness that wasn't aware of anything right now, but Brian's need for him had brought him into existence, and if he had a distinct personality then how could he be fake? He wasn't hallucinating this conversation, nor had he imagined the murder they'd committed together. This was just another problem, and he was not the sort of man to back down in the face of a challenge.
"No." That one single word was said with as much conviction as he could muster past the medicated haze. He didn't know this Brian Jenkins, which meant it was very easy to forget that he was a human being who deserved to know that he had another person taking control at times. Right now he was on Max's side, and he could worry about Brian later. "Brian has no idea you exist yet, and we are going to make sure it takes him as long as possible to find out that you do. That will give us more time to figure out a way to keep your around once he does find out." He didn't know much about psychology or anything like that, but if Max could become the more dominant personality, gain the upper hand... "You are not some kind of... of imaginary friend. You have me, and somehow we will find a way to keep you here and in existence."
