Re: Orange County Hospital - Recovery Room
"Probably not, but I appreciate your concern." Was it concern? Not quite. It was a simple statement, a question he asked because from observable evidence, this man might not push through if he continued to act like a fussy child about the whole thing. However, it wasn't his place to say. And even Archer himself was surprised by how compliant he was being with all of this. Normally he'd fight as hard as this man, affirm over and over that nothing was wrong and that this was a waste of time. But he couldn't bring himself to move, let alone protest.
He was so very tired.
"I believe that the general consensus is that what happens in Bellum Letale is largely not a concern to the people outside of it," he said wearily, rubbing his temples. As the other man busied himself by pulling open closets and generally ripping up the room, Archer looked away - his activity was exhausting to watch.
At the introduction, he turned back to look at the man. He paused, watching him for a moment, before inclining his head. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Miles. I'm Archer." First names were not something he used in conversation, with only a small minority using any derivation of his first name casually. However, it seemed that that minority might become even smaller.
