One moment she'd been in the wine shop, supervising as Marie boiled more water, about to turn and ask Brian (who had been acting so strangely, but it must have been that his headache hadn't gone away) if he needed anything. The next, her own sudden headache and a flash of bright light made her screw her eyes tightly shut, and when she opened them again...
Sherri hadn't even had a chance to get her bearings before she heard Joss's scream and took off toward it without thinking, darting between people as well as she could in her layers of skirts. She skidded a bit past Joss, at first, then threw herself onto her knees and clutched at her little sister as tightly as she could, tightly enough that Joss probably couldn't breathe but she didn't care, she was just so glad to see her. "Oh my God, oh my God, Joss, baby, are you okay?"
