GROUP DELTA PLOT UPDATE
Alright, kiddies! Let's rewrite some history.
DAY 3, Nightfall: A Massacre Without Dancing Is A Massacre Not Worth Having (Through the weekend, IC DATE {Feb. 14, 1929, evening})
The presence of Bellum's tenants in the 20's has created a rift in time. The massacre that ought to have happened in the morning of Valentine's Day never does, and any of the Bellum tenants who know what to look for in the papers might notice this strange absence.
Come evening, everyone will be hounded back to a hotel - one single hotel. It is either the hotel they are staying, or a place they are being chased toward.
The hotel is having a Valentine's Day party for a group of select clientele. Though not the fanciest place in the world, it has had its ballroom rented out by a private party who wanted to host a Valentine's Day shindig for their friends. Meanwhile, as the party gets underway around sunset, the paparazzi will hound Trenton and Isobel away from their luxury hotel and over to the slightly less-fashionable one. Police will chase Aiden and Archer to the hotel, caught in the criminal act. Cole and Ileana are already staying in it. Shane and Anya will be pulled off the street, confused as guests of the family. Bethany and Joss will be grabbed by a stranger and his wife, who believe them to be their daughters who wandered off and are making them late for the party. Miles, Lone, Theo and Deirdre will all be grabbed by members of the band playing at the party who think they are one of the missing band members - trumpet, trombone, and vocals, respectively - and will put them onstage with their instruments of choice.
The people involved in pulling the tenants into the party seem to have a slightly different vision of reality of the tenants themselves, and see them as the people they believe them to be without exception, refusing to bow to argument or admit that they are not the people they have been looking for. They seem to believe it fully.
The lobby of the hotel will be clear of people, but the ballroom to the left of the main doors will be full of dancing, food, heart-shaped decorations, and utterly plastered men dressed up as cupid. Everything will seem to be going well for an hour or two, just another party. Instead, here we have a reflection of the party where they began.
A few hours in, red and blue lights will show up outside. The police have received multiple witness reports that the break-outs from the jail downtown have all made their way to this hotel, and by storming it, they can take them all at once.
The revelers won't notice the police immediately, since they will stay outside, cars blocking the front doors. The tenants can feel free to go into the lobby at this point, theorize as to what to do, or not notice the lights coming in through the windows. After a short while outside the police will come bursting through the front door, guns in tow. Revelers will begin to run screaming, some attacking the police officers, and they will in turn begin using lethal force, beating party goers off and firing into the crowd. The St. Valentine's Day Massacre, it seems, actually is perpetrated by the police this time around.
Your characters can stay to fight the police officers and face certain death, or they can flee.
The post will be structured in party post style. Your characters can post as many threads as they want, mingle with the partygoers, fulfill or escape their expected role, and then confront or flee from the police when they arrive. No structure this time around. Just go for it!
As usual, any questions may be directed at me over here in the questions post.
