Re: Late Evening
Of course she wanted to sit with him. And talk. Honestly, she was much more attractive with her mouth closed. Though she was still fairly attractive with her mouth open. In the back of his mind, he wondered if Brian would ever "hit that," because he was much more mellow when he was getting laid frequently. The only good thing about Gloria was that she had been receptive to frequent intercourse. At least Sherri wasn't a shrill cow-beast.
"Oh yeah," he said as she put the water and soup in front of him. "Really, I appreciate it," he said with a smile. Picking up his spoon, he took a sip of the soup, not really noticing that it was bland as hell. Her question made him want to kick her out of the wine shop or at least put her in time out for being an idiot. But of course, he couldn't do that. Not as Jekyll playing Brian, anyway. "Yeah," he grunted, taking a sip of water. "I walked for a while and there was nothing. Just dunes and sun."
Stirring the spoon in his soup, he tried to think of a way to talk less while getting her to talk more. With women, that usually involved asking about their hopes and dreams or what shoes they liked to wear. Unfortunately, he knew that Brian and Sherri weren't at that place yet. So he'd go with the next best thing. "So you know all about what I've been up to. What have you done since coming to Paris? How'd you end up here?" He gestured to the wine shop, remembering that she had said the story of its owners was long. A long story meant less talking for him, which at this point, would be a good thing.
