If Max didn't possess greater self-control, he would have screamed. Instead, he grinned and bore it. Why? Because he was the Brad Pitt of imaginary friends. "Yeah, it was pretty...dry," he said, trying to be as lame as possible in order to perfectly capture Brian's essence. "Water would be great, thank you."
He followed her motions to the chair, sitting down with a slight groan and leaning back. It was nice to sit down somewhere cool, actually, without the sun beating down on him. He had a feeling that Brian would wake up with a burn in the morning despite the fact that they had a hat. After all, they didn't have any sunscreen, and that sun was brutal.
As she mentioned getting soup, he smiled. "I actually am pretty hungry, that'd be great."
