As she mentioned her sister, he frowned. He didn't know how he'd react if he knew that his little brother was here, despite the fact that he was a big grown-up in his own right. "I know what you mean," he said warmly. "I didn't think I'd see anybody I knew. But we're both here, which is kind of a good thing." Better than being alone, at any rate.
"You're never alone, Brian." Oh, well. Except for Harry.
"I'm fine," he said, trying to ignore his splitting headache and finding that to be strangely easy for the moment. After all, he had something to focus on now. He had somebody in the real world to talk to. "And don't worry. I'll help you find your sister." His voice was gentle but determined - having a purpose would make this whole mess easier.
As she mentioned his face, he gave a slight smile, reaching up to brush his fingers over his cheek. "Does it?" The swelling had gone down, though it was still discolored. "I haven't looked in a mirror since I got here," he admitted, raking his fingers through his gummy hair. "I probably smell awful, I'm sorry about that." Despite the situation, he offered her a faint smile.
