If he knew that she was Christine and that he had Erik...her breath caught and she turned back, for the first time. "Why did you let me go?" Her voice shook, but she made herself look at him. "I trusted you because of that - I told everyone you were fine and safe and you weren't horrible and I thought you wouldn't do anything because of it-" She shook her head as Christine said she was going to get herself killed at this rate. "I trusted you."

She could only shake her head again - could he tell she was lying? "Why does it even matter?"
