"Beauty talked to Jane's tale during the full moon, and she says she isn't Beauty, which seems odd, but everyone seemed so certain. And she was terribly evasive." She paused, taking note of the tightening of Rosalie's fingers on the teacup. "We were going to see if my magic worked on you once, I think. Take a sip; no time like the present." She took a sip of her own tea, to prove it was harmless, and she continued on. "And something she said last night, it made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up," she admitted.
The comment about her father made Ella pause. She really didn't know much about the woman across from her at all, and she didn't know if old jealousy was to blame for that, or just her own trouble with keeping friends. Beauty was thankful silent on that count, and Ella put down her tea cup and gave Rosalie her full attention. Who knows how long they were going to be stuck here together - they couldn't very well stop living. "Tell me about your father? I just went on a trip with mine recently, and being home was... strange."
