Ella's knowledge of the Romanovs was much more dream-Anastasia than reality, and so she had no idea of where in anything they were, but she thought that might be terribly important. "Do we know when they were killed, and do we know when now is?" she asked, not really expecting Rosalie to know the answer to either of those questions, but hopeful nonetheless.
"Vlad's fine. He's as bossy as ever, and he also managed to keep us all from freezing to death last evening," she said. "And I'm sure the Beast kept Daniel safe-" Beauty interjected at that point, and it reminded Ella that Rosalie didn't turn (not mentally). "We can all hear our stories, I think, here. And I think they have control, to the extent of possibly taking over," she explained to the other woman. "Can you hear yours?" It was asked almost as if she might feel sorry that Rosalie could possibly be alone in all this; at least Beauty, in her mind, was companionship.
"He said his name was Botkin, but he didn't tell me anything other than that," she admitted reluctantly, just as the door opened and a very regal and haggard looking woman slipped inside. She was in her dressing gown, and she looked confused a moment, then she said something in German (mentioning Botkin's name), and she motioned to Rosalie to come help her with her hair.
