Vlad was sure that Luther was right, and they were being kept here until their interrogators arrived, but even knowing wasn't very much comfort. He knew Russian, but did the other man? How were they supposed to answer the soldiers' questions when they didn't even come from this time period? It was one thing to use a fake name when you had allies to back you up, but quite another to be completely alone and hope your story was believed.
Dracula wasn't much help in this situation, and he was trying to think over the sound of his voice about a possible cover story when the door opened and someone else was pushed inside. It took a moment for him to register that it was Daniel, and he was relieved that at least one of his friends was safe. There were still countless others - Helena, Rosalie, Max, Darcy - but they might have been in completely different time periods. "So they found you too." This was definitely not going to be good. If he told Daniel that Ella was here, he probably wouldn't end up cooperating with any sort of questioning, which meant they were all going to be shot. Then again, knowing that she was out there might motivate him to cooperate, and he would have wanted to know if Helena was here. "Jane, William and Ella, as far as I know, but there are probably more." Before Daniel could respond, he rushed forward. "We are being kept here for questioning, so we should get a cover story together before they arrive."
