Deirdre sat close enough to the rest of the residents of Bellum that she was able to hear what they were talking about. It was difficult to sit in the dress she was wearing, but she kept her back straight and as dignified as possible. The Queen had finally lapsed into silence, sharing in the smoldering irritation that Deirdre had at being locked up. The Queen hated the jail almost as much as she did.
Finally, at some of Joss' comments, she spoke just loud enough to be heard, but not for her voice to carry very far. "It would be better if we kept that to ourselves for now. I don't believe any of us want to find out what our lovely hosts would do if they deemed us insane." She turned her eyes to Anya, serious. "Though we are not. Not because of that, at least."
