When Will had asked for the location of the house he had ransacked, Russell scrunched his nose as he tried to recall, but ended up shaking his head as they all looked the same to him. Plus he had be mightily distracted when his business associate was suddenly in front of him bleeding from the arm. That fact he had not bothered to conceal when her life was in danger but now that they were relatively safe (for now) he was going to see fit to deny it, especially to Will. That guy gave him the heeblie-jeeblies.
Allowing the bayonet to be taken away from him, it wasn't long while they were all walking before he quickly bent over and took a knife off one of the dead soldiers at Jim's insistence. Originally viewing them as his own thoughts, Russell rapidly realized he wasn't quite alone in his mind...shaking his head, he kept walking, occasionally keeping an eye on everyone else since the only one he really trusted at the moment, Iris, was in no state to help should the others turn on him for any reason. "We could always just 'borrow' a place from others to stay until the morn'," he suggested.
