Re: Random Alley
Lotte remained oblivious to the people around her, standing in the middle of the street as they rushed by. She was too caught up by Christine - being able to communicate was a relief, as they matched memories and fears. The voices suddenly made more sense as Christine offered a real memory, to each thing Lotte remembered hearing from when she was little. Lotte explained the voices, in a wordless set of thoughts.
There was something intimate about it, leading her to shut her eyes even as the screaming continued in French. She wasn't hearing it with her ears and she didn't need words to voice back what was going on. It was just a pure relief to have someone who she could share everything with, even if she wasn't in Bellum anymore and was in France somewhere.
Hearing someone call to her, in English rather than French broke her from her thoughts. Her eyes flashed opened as she spun around. Bran, she thought with a grin, explaining to Christine who the tall man was. She couldn't help but be happy right now with Christine knowing things. Christine made no protest, just asking for Lotte to look more closely at Bran's masked face as he approached and she complied. Looking up to him with a grin, she gave him a huge bear hug. Earlier annoyances and tension were completely forgotten as she clung to him.
"I'm fine! Really - it's all good, I'm only hearing-" She cut herself off, without needing Christine's insistence not to. She bit her lip, just looking up at him. He couldn't know that she was crazy and she quickly answered his other question, rather than finishing her sentence. "It's France, I think."
