Isobel had been trying to wind down for the night, and had just rinsed her face with water after washing up before bed when the world erupted in a flash of light and she was suddenly somewhere very not her bathroom. Eyes were wide, and she turned a slow circle to look around her, feeling, a bit off-kilter with the sudden changes. Blonde hair was pulled up and back away from her face, done up in an intricate knot, and the blue evening gown she found herself in was at least flattering, but still wholly unfamiliar.
She jumped when a girl handed her a tag for the fur that she was making off with, looking at the bit of paper for a long moment, nothing even close to making sense. "It has to get better, it has to get better," Isobel muttered to herself as she tucked the bit of paper into the clutch she carried, which, incidentally, matched the blue of her dress. There were people around that she recognized, some only very vaguely, and she couldn't help the frown that pulled at her lips. This was absolutely insane.
Waving at the thick smoke that hung in the air, Isobel started to weave through the throng of people enjoying their evening, searching out a familiar face. Unfortunately, the first face wasn't exactly familiar, but he looked as lost as she felt.
"Excuse me?" she asked, working to be heard over the people talking around them, the band playing in the background, and the general joviality that filled the air. "Do you know where we are?"
