At Xavier's question, Brian nodded. "I'd say we should make one more. The two cavities are far apart, so I don't see a need to drag them out over two appointments. Unless you aren't in pain normally, in which case we can do one soon and then the other in a bit." He shrugged. "It's up to you. It might be easier to do them separately payment-wise, but you can think about it as long as you need."
The other question, however, made him pause. "Oh, this?" he asked, touching his fingers very lightly to the swollen lump on his cheek. Though he was inwardly panicked, he appeared completely normal. Brian was a great liar and cover-up artist. He had to be, to get by. He gave a slight laugh. "I was playing catch yesterday and caught the baseball with my face."
