"Says who?" Isobel had to laugh though, and she sat back, waiting as patiently as she could for her next round. Joanie's words were familiar though, things that people had said to her before about the same situation.
"And I get all of that and stuff, but still. That doesn't make right, y'know?" She shook her head, fingers toying at a curl of blond that hung against her shoulder. "Even though it's just words and stuff, it still hurts and still pisses people off. I don't know. Maybe I was just raised differently. If you can't say it to someone in person, you don't say it at all. And if you can't own up to it, you best be keeping your mouth shut." And with that, her drink arrived and she flashed the bartender a winning smile. "A thank you, sir," she said, picking up her drink and taking a sip.
