Isobel gave Joanie a "I don't believe it" look at the tale from that encounter. "That's... now I admit that I've done a lot of things, but that crosses the line. Like, not just cross, but takes a running leap over." She shook her head, unable to believe what some people would actually do out there. "People scare me. That's really all there is to it."
The streets were packed that night, people in a hurry off to one place or another, and then there were the many who were stumbling their way off to another good time. After a short time, they came across a bar with people moving in and out of it at a decent pace, at least enough that it didn't seem like a total dive. "How 'bout this place?" she asked, crooking a thumb at the bar. "I'd hate to get too far away from the building and not be able to find my way back. My sense of direction is absolutely horrendous!"
