He really did hate this building sometimes, and for the umpteenth time wondered why he didn't just pack up and go somewhere else. Travelling around Europe for the rest of his life was starting to look better and better, but unfortunately the ties he had here were still too strong for that. Minutes past as he waited, scowling at the panel of buttons like it could see his displeasure, but finally he had to accept that nothing was going to happen. Was there even anyone they could call for this kind of thing? There was no landlord, and he was fairly certain that there was no maintenance man either.
Vlad sighed, turning to glance at the girl with an apologetic shrug. "It seems we may be stuck here for a while, depending on when this infernal machine decides to start working again." He prayed that she wasn't claustrophobic or anything, because he was not in the mood to deal with a hysterical woman. "I suppose I should have known better than to take the elevator."
