Tegan looked at the Inspector for a moment before pulling a smile and a quiet laugh from someplace, hoping it didn't sound forced. "Well, she also thought that I needed a chaperone to be around another resident of the building. I'm not quite sure why she thought a lot of things, other than being old-fashioned."
She had never been very good at lying, and she just prayed that she could pull this one off.
