It was obvious that her outburst had silenced the room, and for a moment, Joanie felt bad. She wished she could blame it on the alcohol, but she had only had a little bit. No, this was all on her and her horrible impulse control problems. She almost wanted to apologize to Oliver, but her pride got the best of her. Instead, she just sipped her beer, sitting on her side of the couch with a slight sulk.
She took this opportunity to listen to what Aiden had said - such a strange thing! - and smiled slightly at his mention of the hat. "It is a pretty sweet hat. You could have it, you know." She waggled her fingers. "It'd be easy."
As Oliver whispered to Aiden, she glanced over at him, expression hard. Was he really doing this? Was he really trying to switch seats with Aiden over a little outburst? God, he was a pussy. Again, that small desire to apologize came up, but again, she ignored it. This time, she drowned it with a large gulp of beer. That'd keep her feelings quiet.
