What was this? Make fun of Aiden night - no, day - no, year? He scowled at both of them, straightening up with his arms folded across his chest. Honestly, there was nothing he could do these days to appease some people's faulty senses of humor.
"Bitchy. Yes." Aiden gave Joanie an icy look and picked up the drink she'd set out for him, tempted to grab hers as well but deciding against being that incredibly petty. "That word applies perfectly to me. I don't care what we start with." He paused briefly as he reconsidered the movie. "They made an entire movie about him?" There was no doubt that, in the literary world, Van Helsing as a character was fairly widely well-regarded, but he hadn't really done enough to create an entire offshoot movie about him, or at least that was what Aiden had always figured.
Which meant whatever was on that disk was probably some Hollywood-bastardized thing that someone cooked up in an attempt to wring more money out of the vampire craze. Great. Just great.
And then they both left him with no room on the couch. Somehow managing to bite back an insult, Aiden carefully nudged Zeph aside and settled down on the floor, his back pressed to what little of the couch's edge they'd left for him to support himself on.
