He inwardly groaned. Now Ella went from just being drunk to boisterously airing their dirty laundry out in front of everybody. There was surprise at Ella's confession that she had gotten smashed after they broke up, but he was having trouble making the connection of then to now. He would have just simply ignored her, but there was the tiny little voice in the back of his head that said she might not have wanted to been sharing with a bunch of strangers in a bar. The "You dawg!" comment from behind him didn't help.
"I think you need to go home," he said evenly without any anger or swearing, his poor attempt to show her he was serious.
