(( OOC: LOL THE MENTAL IMAGE OF MAX DROPPING THINGS ON POOR UNSUSPECTING PEOPLE IS AMAZING. ))
Vlad had never thought of murder as natural. He knew that it was against the law, of course - he wasn't an idiot - and he knew it was morally wrong, but somewhere along the line his morals must have suffered some sort of trauma because he didn't feel the guilt he should have. It might have been because his victims were complete strangers, and he was very good as disassociating himself and not even viewing them as people at all, or perhaps the impulse to kill was too strong to allow anything to get in its way. Regardless, he never tried to justify it - deny it, yes, but never justify. Why would he, after all?
"Ah, but some would argue that we are more advanced than animals and thus should know better than they do. Animals have no sense of morality or conscience. We humans do - or we are supposed to, at least." He shrugged. "Perhaps they only say that, however, because they are in denial. Humans have impulses and instincts just like animals, but very few people are willing to admit to that."
