Boyd's name made her tense involuntarily, perceptibly. She didn't want to ask about the young girl, and she tried to force her expression back to something neutral and not completely hurt and jealous. That lasted for all of a moment before she gave in and laughed through her tears. "Listen to us," she said, "pretending not to be jealous when we so obviously are. I'll tell you about Iris, if you tell me about Boyd," she said, adding, "though I am sure there isn't anything going on with Iris and Peter - as far as I know, her doctor's in love with her," she said. She paused with a frown a moment later. "Though she's never indicated being in love with him, now that I think on it. What did Peter say?"
She waited a moment, and she let her voice go soft. "Are you having doubts?"
