Trenton's reaction didn't surprise him in the slightest. He probably thought he'd successfully gotten away with murder, so why did he have to worry about anyone coming after him? His lack of concern only served to increase his anger, though, and Cole cast a disdainful glance around the penthouse before returning his gaze to the man they'd come for. Right now he and Micah were the closest thing to police the building had, and a certain amount of force was always justified if the accused resisted arrest, wasn't it?
He let Micah speak, silently regarding Trenton with more hatred then he ever expected to feel. "You have the right to keep your mouth shut, not that it'll do you any good." His voice was low, full of disgust. "We know what you've done, and we have undeniable proof. But like Micah said, feel free to deny it." Cole's smile was completely sardonic. "Go ahead. Deny the fact that you're not only a murderer and a rapist, but a coward too."
