Luther had settled against the wall, surreptitiously. He'd taken care of the post with 108 and though that had been frustrating, he refused to allow that to add to his exhaustion. A glass of coke was sipped at before he finally took a piece of pizza - more thirsty and dehydrated than hungry.
"I'd say something about your smell, but I'll pass," Luther said. At least, unlike when Javert was around, the criminals didn't particularly smell - at least, not in a way that made functioning normally impossible. All things considered though, he was sure Joanie or Oliver wouldn't smell like Eponine or the other criminals in the building did.
"I heard more from people who needed protection." He took a bite of pizza, chewing thoughtfully. "Those with dangerous fables who replied, simply offered money - guilt, I suppose."
