Re: Wednesday 2:56 PM
As they talked about how strange Bellum was, Joanie kept quiet. She wasn't about to share this with anybody, but as much as she hated the building, it had grown on her. It was quirky and insane, and seemingly incapable of being loved because it had no real redeeming qualities at first glance. Something about that spoke to her. That and the fact that she had discovered her magic in Bellum. She liked having a talent like this. It was practical and fun, and in a childish way, she loved the ability to be truly unique for a change. Now, Joanie could do something useful. She could help.
It was so warm and fuzzy that those thoughts almost set her on fire some days.
"Maybe it just means we're extremely well adjusted." She grinned, balling up another piece of paper. "Because we can handle all this crazy. An unstable or ill person would've buckled under the pressure and ran, but we're staying!" Clasping her hand, she looked down, whispering her repetition of Hebrew words. Like clockwork, the paper shifted into a lock. She set it down with the other four. Only three left.
