She swirled her drink, watching it whirl about before taking another sip. Wrinkling her nose at the odd taste and smacking her lips like an unhappy kid, she looked to Luther. "It's like seven or eight blocks, so not a bad walk. I don't own a car, so I always walk there and back." She shrugged. "Well, where are we going for supplies? If it's in the opposite direction of my work, we can always walk there, come back to Bellum, and then drive to the store." She shrugged. Truthfully, walking would probably help. If she didn't get her blood moving, she'd just fall asleep in the car.
At his little pearls of wisdom, she laughed, nodding. "Oh man, that's sneaky." Sipping her unholy union of soda and coffee, she smiled. "That's good. He'll be fine with it." She paused. "But that means I'll have to be convincing, right?" Groaning, she dragged a hand over her face. "I'm a shit liar." With a whine, she sighed. "I guess if I just look dead, which I kind of am, he won't pry. Right?"
