By the time Joanie had returned to reality, Luther's smirk had widened. It didn't matter that their bars fell apart - he simply tossed it aside, reaching for the next. He fell into the stance easily and shook his head. "No, not quite-" He feinted to her right side, before changing directions to the left.
His bar clanged against hers, knocking it from her hands. His group was loose on it and both fell to the ground, shattering. He winced more because of his leg than the sound, looking up to her with as innocent of an expression as he could muster. "So, can you reuse this old pieces?" He kicked it to the side, beginning the cycle again.
