Re: Tuesday - 9:15 PM
Joanie was happily in her own little world, nudging the bars with her toes while sipping from her coffee. She picked up the first bar and hefted it in her palm, swinging it through the air. Her original plan was to just hit them against the walls - honestly, if these people thought that this apartment wouldn't end up clawed and destroyed, they were delusional - until something happened. But the sound of Luther's voice jerked her out of her thought bubble.
"Ack!" she gagged, turning just in time to see his metal bar as it swung for hers. Still holding her coffee in her right hand, she flailed with her left, bars bumping against one another gently. Eyes wide, she looked from the bars to Luther, understanding dawning on her face. "You wanna fence, huh?" She smirked, setting her cup of coffee down and shifting to better grip her bar. "Let's go."
She swung at his, bringing her bar down atop his with a loud crack. Joanie could feel the vibrations running through her hands, and before she knew it, her bar had been broken in half. One piece was on the floor, and she was still holding the other. Luther's bar was growing a spiderweb of cracks, proving that neither was very sturdy. "Damn," she muttered, dropping hers and kicking the pieces off to the side to be recycled later. "Guess it's time for round two."
She bent and picked up the third bar, hefting it for a moment before holding it like a sword and turning to Luther. "Ready?" Despite the fact that they were doing "serious work," Joanie was grinning like a fiend.
