Nick took the teacup from Ella gratefully with a quiet thanks before he took a sip. It helped calm his jumbled, tangled nerves at being out in the world. He gave her a little hint of a smile and told her, "Well, honestly it freaks me out being outside. It's only been worse since...all that happened."
He listened to Ella and seemed to be filing all the information away in the important part of his brain. He traced his thumbs around the edge of the teacup and asked her, "Do you mind if I just try a few hours a week at first?"
It was a subject he never knew how to explain to people, about his mind and the comings and goings. Bellum hadn't helped with his grasp on what was his sanity and what was his delusions. He couldn't not tell her, since she would have to be aware sooner or later. It was better than letting her know when he was having a panic attack. "I...don't want to scare you or...freak you out with this," Nick said hesitantly, "But it's better for you to know, right? In case anything happened. I'm...not quite right. In the head.."
