He tucked Iris' bag away, as promised, and he grabbed a jacket for her, in case she'd been in something sheer to sleep. He nodded toward the med kit by the door. "Grab that," he said, because who knew if everyone was going to get out of wherever the hell they were as safely as they did.

"The purse might have been a fucking dangerous villain," he said finally, because Rick was insane, and Micah was aware that the building was making him unhinged. "After this shit is done, I'm going somewhere warm, with a beach," he muttered.

"Girlfriend? Family?" Unconnected people, those were the ones Micah distrusted most of all. "Friends?"
