Deirdre actually smiled a little at the other crew, lifting her own hand in a slight wave. A quick glance at their own crew showed a marked change in their actions as well. Instead of preparing for battle, they were now pulling out barrels and crates from below deck, hailing the other crew. From what she could make out, they were calling over as well, asking what the other crew had to trade.
She laughed softly to herself, stunned at the relief that swept through her. "I believe this means we did something right, at least."
