"We're not going to be able to get up once we sit down," Christian muttered to himself. If this place had the capability to transport him to a different time zone, then he figured it made sense to treat its veiled threats seriously. He took a moment to examine the man and the girl who had already sat down, and the woman who stood tensely to the side. From the looks of it, the woman was most likely going to be the one to placate. But Christian had made a career out of convincing people to do what they might normally not, and this was just another challenge to face.
Christian finally shrugged and sank into one of the empty chairs, dropping the book still clutched in his hand onto the table in the process. "I guess we sit and see if it lets us out if we do what it says." At least he didn't worry about sounding crazy to this group; the building was plenty insane enough for all of them. "I'm Christian, by the way."
