Boyd followed the direction of everyone else's gaze, and she sighed. "Oh, Lord," she said, drawl even thicker than normal. "This is like those trust exercises. You know, the ones where you got to fall back onto someone."
She squeezed Hannah's hand, and she smiled at her reassuringly, and then she took a step toward the ladder up to the wire. "Well, no point in wasting time is there?" she asked, keeping her voice calm, yet determined.
Someone had to go first, after all, and Boyd was good at being strong when others needed her to.
She walked to the rope ladder, and she started climbing.
