Ella Claire Gainsborough {Beauty} ([info]bookshelved) wrote in [info]bellumlogs,
Ella had been on the balcony of R1, scribbling in her dream journal via moonlight. She was in the middle of rewriting the ending of a dream in which a faceless man (with the voice of an angel) ended up face down in an endless well. She was so engrossed in what she was doing that she hardly noticed the scene changing around her.

Daniel was in the apartment, trying to coax Kat out from under the new couch (which the kitten hated) and muttering about the sugar glider (which Kat wanted to eat), and it was the lack of his voice that made her realize things had changed at all.

She stood, the dream journal disappearing as it tumbled to the floor, and she took a step toward what should have been the sliding glass doors into R1.

Instead, she found herself in the middle of an open pit covered in rushes, and the stage that rose before her was completely out of place with Daniel's borrowed shirt, which reached to mid-thigh on her. She was barefoot, and she didn't like whatever was happening - a fact that was quickly evidenced by the vines and roses that began to encircle the theater's pit.

She could see a woman, closer to the stage than she was, and she stepped toward her. "Hello?"
