Stefan blinked silently at the answer, and then glanced at the plaque to see what was supposed to be read out loud. Well shit. That was fucked up. He wasn’t about to say anything resembling comfort, not even if Micah hadn’t started to beat the shit out of someone. Instead he was just quiet and while Rick still had the book in his hands, Stefan just pointed over to Will with his chin.

“Your turn. And then we’re done.” Hopefully. That thing was still swimming out there but not for long. He still wasn’t sure if bringing it to them was better than just waiting but they’d already gone this far.
