Micah didn't know the bossy kid, but he liked him. "I'm not brave, and I'm not a fool, but I'll do my part," Micah said, even as he wandered away toward the glass at the edge of the room. He touched a hand to it, the cold from the water beyond chilling the surface beneath his hand. He could see the thing in the distance now, and he didn't think it was a shark. "This building is fucking sadistic," he said, staring out into the blue, hoping Iris was safe in bed somewhere. "At least it stays behind the glass, si?"
He looked over his shoulder at the bossy kid. "Start it."
