There was a tight nod. "I promise-" And the idea of that was nearly enough to set her off again. Her lips pressed together tightly and she nodded once more, moving to get her key out. "I will - I do keep them." She sent a look that was honest - it didn't matter that he wouldn't understand that, it was to reassure herself.
She let the key slip into the lock and she opened the door. With a final look over her shoulder and a shaky smile, she waved to him. The door clicked shut and she locked the locks, slumping against the back of it. Burying her head in her hands, she willed herself to not cry anymore - that was it, she was done.
