Wasn't that one hell of a question. Leaving behind the topic of people going over the edge, William thought on how, exactly, he'd wound up at this particular building in New York. There were hundreds of apartment buildings in the city, several a little closer to work and some with much nicer quality. But this place had just seemed ... easiest. Not to close, not too far, not to expensive or cheap for the quality of it.
In a word ... a little more average? Or at least that was what he'd been told.
"The rent wasn't bad, and it wasn't in the dead center of the city ... or too far out to make commuting a problem." He turned back for the stairwell when he got to the end of the hall. "Gotta say it sort of stuck once I heard about it. Lots of other places seemed fine, but this one always looked ... right. Stupid as it sounds." He smirked just slightly. "And of course it would turn out to be insane."
